I find this to be the missing peace to my puzzle. any advice would be helpful. I dont believe the training aids are helpful, cause it still does not allow you to understand how to keep a straight left wrist! I feel my grip, and plane are good, I am not fully cupped, but yet I see a slight break in the wrist.

  1. Your wrist at impact should be slightly cocked. Impact is not completely square with an iron. You should be delofting the club slightly to create the divot after the ball. This will make you hit it straighter and give you an extra 15 to 20 yards.

  2. If you wear a watch or a tight bracelet, stick a Sharpie under it, so half touches the back of your hand. Viola! When you swing, it’s gonna hurt if you don’t keep your wrist flat.

If negative reinforcement doesn’t work, try swinging slowly in front of a tall mirror. When you get to impact, stop and look at the mirror. You’ll know if your wrist is breaking just by looking at it.
